MACAO, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- The "Spiritual Narrative -- 2025 Annual Arts Exhibition between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries" opened on Thursday at the Taipa Houses in the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), featuring artistic exchanges.
Organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR government, the exhibition draws inspiration from 16th-century travellers Fernao Mendes Pinto of Portugal and China's Xu Xiake, presenting 28 works by eight artists from Macao, the Chinese mainland, Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, and Brazil.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Cheang Kai Meng, vice president of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, said the exhibition uses art as a bridge to deepen cultural dialogue and underscores Macao's role as a platform for exchanges between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
The event runs from Friday to March 1, 2026, with free admission, according to the Cultural Affairs Bureau. ■
