KABUL, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- Afghan police have arrested 88 individuals suspected of involvement in various criminal activities across western Afghanistan's Herat province, local media Tolonews reported Thursday.
According to the report, the arrests were made over the past month as part of a series of operations to stabilize law and order in the region. The alleged criminals were involved in cases of human trafficking, document forgery and theft.
The Afghan government has vowed to crack down on criminal elements across the country to ensure law and order in the war-torn country. ■
