AMMAN, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Jordan on Wednesday facilitated the return of 140 Palestinian children and their family members to the Gaza Strip through the King Hussein Bridge after the children completed medical treatment in Jordanian hospitals, the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) said.
Medical reports said the children had finished all stages of treatment and received full care during their stay. Their relatives were also provided with accommodation and support services.
The children were evacuated to Jordan earlier in 2025 under the Jordanian Humanitarian Medical Corridor, a program run by the JAF to bring wounded and sick Gazans to Jordan for treatment. Under the scheme, patients return to Gaza once their treatment is completed, allowing Jordan to admit new cases.
Hundreds of Gazan children remain in Jordan for treatment following the start of medical evacuations in early March. ■
