LISBON, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Five people died after a car crashed and caught flames early Sunday on Avenida das Forcas Armadas in the north-central part of Lisbon, according to the Public Security Police (PSP).
Lusa News Agency quoted the Lisbon Metropolitan Command as saying that accident was reported at about 3:40 a.m. to the emergency services that a vehicle had gone off the road. The car "struck a pillar and caught fire," leaving all five occupants fatally burned.
Authorities said they were still unable to confirm the victims' genders or ages. No more details are available so far. ■
