KIEV/MOSCOW, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- At least three people were killed and dozens injured in Russia's drone and missile attacks on Saturday, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Zelensky wrote on Telegram that Russian forces launched waves of drone and missile attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure and civilian facilities overnight.

The attacks caused extensive damage and triggered fires in residential buildings, he added.

The Russian defense ministry said in a statement the same day that the strike was conducted "in response to Ukraine's terrorist attacks on civilian targets in Russia."

"The Russian Armed Forces conducted a large-scale strike using high-precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles against Ukrainian military-industrial complex enterprises and energy facilities that support their operations," the ministry said.
