TOKYO, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Toyota Motor Corp. said Thursday its global production in October rose 3.8 percent to 926,987 units from a year earlier, growing for the fifth straight month.
Toyota's overseas output grew 2.2 percent to 600,155 vehicles, the world's largest automaker by volume said, with production in the United States climbing 26.4 percent to 137,262 units.
Meanwhile, domestic production grew 6.8 percent to 326,832 vehicles, reflecting a rebound following a certification scandal in 2024, according to the Japanese automaker.
Toyota's worldwide sales advanced 2.1 percent to 922,087 cars, marking a 10th consecutive monthly gain, it said. ■
