YANGON, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar's Ministry of Science and Technology launched the Science Festival Myanmar 2025 in the capital Nay Pyi Taw on Monday, the state-owned daily The Mirror reported on Tuesday.
Union Minister for Science and Technology Myo Thein Kyaw attended the opening ceremony, the report said.
Organizing such a science festival will help broaden scientific knowledge among students and professionals, foster greater interest in science, and inspire curiosity among young people, the report said.
The festival is also expected to support the development of the country's science and nuclear energy sectors, the report said.
The two-day festival, held on Monday and Tuesday, also featured a knowledge-sharing session titled "Nuclear Technology in Everyday Life" and quiz competitions on nuclear technology for basic education students, according to the report. ■
