PHNOM PENH, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) on Tuesday launched an innovative Capacity Development Platform (CDP), aiming at strengthening the skills and knowledge of educators in the kingdom.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport Hang Chuon Naron said the initiative is set to digitize and formalize teacher training, transform professional growth for teachers, educators, and staff across Cambodia, and ultimately help improve learning for every child.
"The CDP marks a transformative step in Cambodia's journey toward quality teacher education," he said. "By digitizing teacher training and professional development, we are empowering our educators with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to inspire learning and improve outcomes."
Naron added that the platform reflected a joint commitment to innovation, equity, and excellence in education. ■
