ISLAMABAD, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's Federal Minister for Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh has said that the country held vast and promising opportunities for global investors owing to its strategic location and prudent investor-friendly policies.
Pakistan's international standing is improving as investors' confidence grows, and the government has been working to create an economic environment aligned with global investment trends, the minister said while inaugurating new patient facilities at a hospital in Chinoit, Punjab on Monday.
Highlighting various measures the country has taken to enhance foreign investment, Sheikh said that Pakistan is heading towards a rise of foreign investment, joint ventures and new memorandums of understanding in the coming years, further increasing investors' trust.
He said that progress has been made for many economies through foreign capital and technology transfer, adding that Pakistan is also adopting this model to strengthen its own economic stability. ■
