SEOUL, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and four others were injured early Monday following a chain collision involving 13 vehicles, including a tanker truck, cargo trucks and passenger cars, in South Korea, according to Yonhap news agency.

The collision, which occurred on a highway in North Gyeongsang province at about 3:12 a.m. local time (1812 GMT Sunday), caused fires on several vehicles. The fires were extinguished in about two and a half hours.

The police said the exact circumstances of the accident are under investigation.
