NEW DELHI, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- At least eight persons died and 15 others were injured when a truck on fire rammed into multiple vehicles in India's south-western state of Maharashtra, local police confirmed on Thursday.
The accident occurred on Mumbai-Bengaluru national highway, at the Navale Bridge in Maharashtra's Pune district.
The injured persons were admitted to a local hospital.
Several fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire. ■
