ST. PETERSBURG, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- A Su-30 fighter jet crashed in Russia's Republic of Karelia during a training flight on Thursday, killing the crew, the Russian Defense Ministry was quoted by TASS news agency as saying.
The Defense Ministry said that at approximately 7 p.m. Moscow time (1600 GMT), the aircraft crashed in an uninhabited area while conducting a scheduled training flight without ammunition, it said. ■
