JERUSALEM, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- Israel's flagship carrier El Al achieved an all-time record revenue of 1.07 billion U.S. dollars in the third quarter, according to a financial report issued by the airline on Tuesday.
The new figure between July and September reflects a 7-percent rise from the previous record high of one billion dollars, set in the third quarter of 2024.
The airline's net profit for the same period also broke the all-time record, totaling 202.6 million dollars, an increase of 8.1 percent year-on-year.
The airline attributed the strong performance to the limited supply of flights at Ben Gurion International Airport outside Tel Aviv during the period.
Several major foreign carriers were not operating in Israel at the time, following the full suspension of flights during the 12-day Israel-Iran conflict in mid-June.
El Al added that the trend of high seasonal demand during the summer season and national holidays also contributed significantly to the unprecedented revenue and profit. ■
