KABUL, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- One commuter lost his life and four others sustained injuries after their vehicle veered off the road and flipped in northern Afghanistan's Jawzjan province, state-owned Bakhtar News Agency reported on Tuesday.
The mishap occurred on the outskirts of Faizabad district, along the highway linking Jawzjan to northern Balkh province, after a Corolla vehicle turned turtle due to reckless driving, Bakhtar quoted Mawlawi Sardar Mubarez, the district police chief, as saying.
The injured were taken to the provincial hospital for treatment, said the official, adding that the health condition of one of them was critical.
Earlier, six passengers died and three others were injured when a speeding Fielder vehicle rammed into a truck in southern Kandahar province last Friday. ■
