BEIJING, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of President Xi Jinping, King Felipe VI of Spain will pay a state visit to China from Nov. 10 to 13.
Born in Madrid, Spain, in January 1968, King Felipe VI holds a bachelor's degree in law and a master's degree in international relations. He was proclaimed as prince in January 1986. In June 2014, he ascended the throne.
He and Queen Letizia have two daughters, Princess Leonor, heir to the throne, and Infanta Sofia. ■
