MANILA, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- The Philippines' economic growth slowed to 4 percent year on year in the third quarter (Q3) of 2025, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said Friday.
The growth in Q3 was much slower than the 5.5-percent clip in Q2 and the 5.4-percent growth in Q1, the PSA data showed.
PSA head Dennis Mapa said the main Q3 growth contributors were wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, financial and insurance activities, and professional and business services.
All major economic sectors, namely agriculture, forestry and fishing, industry, and services, posted year-on-year growth in Q3. ■
