PHNOM PENH, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia's famed Angkor Archaeological Park received a total of 765,518 international visitors in the first 10 months of 2025, a year-on-year decrease of 1.12 percent, said a news release on Saturday.
The ancient site earned 35.57 million U.S. dollars in revenue from ticket sales during the period, slightly down 1.15 percent, said the news release from the state-owned Angkor Enterprise.
Located in the northwest Siem Reap province, the UNESCO-listed Angkor Archaeological Park is home to 91 ancient temples built from the ninth to the 13th centuries.
Thourn Sinan, chairman of the Pacific Asia Travel Association Cambodia chapter, told Xinhua that considering the current geopolitical climate and various crisis issues impacting global travel, he did not anticipate a significant increase in tourist arrivals to the Angkor complex in the entirety of 2025.
He added that unless there are initiatives such as free visas or special incentive packages for destination management companies or travelers, arrivals might remain relatively flat. ■
