ULAN BATOR, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia on Friday celebrated World Savings Day, which was first marked in the country in 2017.
The month-long campaign aimed to foster a culture of saving among the population, according to the Bank of Mongolia.
This year, the campaign was launched under the slogan "Build Your Dreams with savings," with training and advocacy activities across Mongolia.
As of September 2025, the total amount of deposits in Mongolia has reached 28.5 trillion Mongolian tugriks (7.9 billion U.S. dollars). Compared to the same period in 2019, this is also the result of an increase of about 110 percent.
The increase in savings supports economic immunity and increases resources in the banking and financial sector, which increases the financing of loans and creates conditions for lower interest rates. ■
