KABUL, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- An armed robber was killed in a clash with police in northern Afghanistan's Sari Pul province late Wednesday, the provincial police office said on Thursday.
A four-member band of armed robbers stole eight camels from the neighboring Jawzjan province on Wednesday night and shifted them to Sari Pul province.
When police tried to arrest them, the robbers resisted and opened fire. Police responded, killing one on the spot, and three others fled. ■
