BERLIN, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Bayern Munich beat Club Brugge 4-0 in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, its 12th consecutive win in all competitions.
The result keeps Bayern level on points with Paris Saint-Germain in the group, behind on goal difference.
Seventeen-year-old Lennart Karl opened the scoring inside five minutes with a solo run, becoming the youngest German player to score in the Champions League. Harry Kane added Bayern's second after a cross from Konrad Laimer.
Club Brugge created few chances, as Luis Diaz made it 3-0 with a shot that went in off the underside of the bar. Substitute Nicolas Jackson added a late fourth from close range after an initial save by Jackers.
Bayern controlled most of the match, with goalkeeper Nordin Jackers preventing a wider margin.
With both teams matched on points, Bayern's visit to Paris on Nov. 4 could be decisive in the race for top spot.
"I'm really happy about the goal and my performance, it's just a lot of fun playing with the guys," Karl said after the match. "I'm the kind of player who likes to take his chances and put the ball in the net."
Elsewhere in the third round, Liverpool beat Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1 for its second group-stage win. Chelsea won 5-1 against Ajax in a match with multiple penalties after an early red card for Taylor.
Sporting scored twice late to defeat Marseille 2-1, while Galatasaray beat Bodo/Glimt 3-1, with Victor Osimhen scoring two and assisting one.
AS Monaco and Tottenham drew 0-0, as did Atalanta and Slavia. ■
