HANOI, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's state budget collection reached more than 2 quadrillion Vietnamese dong (about 76 billion U.S. dollars) from the beginning of this year to Oct. 16, fulfilling 102.35 percent of the annual estimate, local daily VnExpress reported Sunday, citing the Vietnam State Treasury.
Domestic revenue totaled over 1.7 quadrillion Vietnamese dong (about 64.5 billion U.S. dollars), equivalent to 103.31 percent of the target.
Revenue from crude oil stood at over 39 trillion Vietnamese dong (about 1.5 billion U.S. dollars), or 73.38 percent of the estimate, while revenue from import-export activities reached more than 249.2 trillion Vietnamese dong (about 9.5 billion U.S. dollars), or 106.05 percent.
According to the Vietnam State Treasury, it has cooperated with commercial banks to collect and process payments electronically, helping to centralize revenues swiftly, reduce cash transactions and facilitate taxpayers. ■
