BEIJING, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 jolted 21 km W of Lae, Papua New Guinea at 1105 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 107.0 km, was initially determined to be at 6.70 degrees south latitude and 146.80 degrees east longitude. ■
