HANOI, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- The per capita monthly income of Vietnamese people in the third quarter of 2025 averaged 8.4 million Vietnamese dong (about 318 U.S. dollars), up 124,400 Vietnamese dong (about 4.7 dollars) from the previous quarter, local daily Dan Tri cited the National Statistics Office as reporting Tuesday.
The average monthly incomes of male and female workers were 9.4 million Vietnamese dong (about 357 dollars) and 7.2 million Vietnamese dong (about 273 dollars), respectively.
Workers in urban areas earned an average of 10.1 million Vietnamese dong (about 383 dollars) per month, while those in rural areas earned 7.2 million Vietnamese dong (about 273 dollars).
Vietnam had 52.3 million employed workers in the third quarter, an increase of 261,300 people compared to the previous quarter, according to the office. ■
