BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- Justo Giani and Giuliano Cerato scored second-half goals as Aldosivi ended a 10-game winless run with a 2-0 away victory over title challenger Union Santa Fe in Argentina's Primera Division Clausura tournament on Friday.
Giani broke the deadlock just after the hour by rising highest and thumping a downward header into the far corner after Santiago Moya's corner.
Cerato doubled the lead in stoppage time, ending a counterattacking move with a clinical finish following Natanael Guzman's precise cross from the right flank.
The result marked Aldosivi's first win of the Clausura, lifting the Mar del Plata side to six points, though it remains last in the 15-team Group A. Despite the loss, Union is still top of the group with 17 points from 11 outings.
Elsewhere in Argentina's top flight on Friday, Argentinos Juniors was held to a goalless home draw by Central Cordoba and Defensa y Justicia drew 1-1 at Tigre. ■
