YANGON, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar police have seized 209,950 stimulant tablets in northern Myanmar's Kachin state, the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) reported on Thursday.
Acting on a tip-off, anti-narcotics police searched a vehicle in Mohnyin township of Kachin state on Sept. 16, and confiscated the drugs, it said.
Two suspects in the vehicle were arrested, and the seized drugs are estimated to be worth over 314.9 million kyats (about 149,952 U.S. dollars), it added.
The suspects have been charged under the country's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, and a further investigation is underway, the report said. ■
