DHAKA, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh's Election Commission (EC) on Wednesday approved an action plan for the country's 13th National Parliamentary Election.
The action plan will provide strategic direction for all stakeholders and political parties participating in the election, Election Commissioner Md. Anwarul Islam Sarker told journalists.
He further said the election roadmap includes finalizing constituency boundaries, registering political parties, observers, reforming election laws, issuing codes of conduct, and preparing updated voter lists.
Earlier this month, Bangladeshi interim government's Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus sent a letter to the Election Commission, asking to organize the general election in February 2026. ■
