PRAGUE, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- Czech Post said on Thursday that it will stop accepting selected parcels bound for the United States starting Friday.

The company said in a statement that the move follows U.S. President Donald Trump's order to suspend the duty-free regime for parcels valued at up to 800 U.S. dollars, which takes effect on Aug. 29.

The United States has not yet clarified key procedures, particularly regarding the collection of customs fees, required data submissions, and cooperation with U.S. customs authorities, Czech Post said.

According to the statement, shipments to the United States will still be possible if they contain only written correspondence or documents, as well as gifts exchanged between individuals valued at up to 100 U.S. dollars.

However, these shipments will require a properly completed customs declaration, and delivery times may be longer due to extended customs procedures upon arrival in the United States, it added.
