TASHKENT, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- Uzbekistan exported cherries worth 51 million U.S. dollars in the first seven months this year, the National Statistics Committee said Tuesday.
"From January to July 2025, Uzbekistan exported 25.2 thousand tons of cherries valued at 51 million U.S. dollars to 17 countries," the committee said.
Russia was the main market for Uzbek cherries, importing 18,200 tons, followed by Kazakhstan with 3,600 tons and Kyrgyzstan with 2,700 tons, it added.
Uzbekistan's GDP is expected to grow by 6.5 percent in 2025, local media reported in June, citing the Eurasian Development Bank. ■
