BEIJING, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 jolted near east coast of Australia at 2349 GMT on Friday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 26.33 degrees south latitude and 152.04 degrees east longitude. ■
