KABUL, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Police have arrested 40 individuals on charges of involvement in criminal activities in different parts of Afghanistan over the past 24 hours, the country's Ministry of Interior Affairs said Tuesday.
The alleged criminals were involved in theft, murder, creating law and order problems, moral corruption, forgery and illegal excavation of historical sites and stealing artifacts, the ministry said in a statement posted on its X account.
Previously, the Ministry of Interior Affairs reported the arrest of 28 criminal elements across the post-war country on Sunday. ■
