YANGON, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar attracted over 118 million U.S. dollars in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first four months (April-July) of the 2025-26 fiscal year, the state-owned Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) reported on Monday.
During this period, 26 new enterprises invested in the country, the report said, citing the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA).
At present, a total of 53 countries and regions have invested in Myanmar, with China, Singapore and Thailand as the top foreign investors, it said.
The rise in local and foreign investments is expected to create jobs and boost production, it added. ■
