WARSAW, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- Brandon McNulty of UAE Team Emirates-XRG won the 82nd Tour de Pologne on Sunday, securing overall victory after taking the final 12.5km time trial in Wieliczka near Krakow.

The 27-year-old American began the day seven seconds behind race leader Victor Langellotti of Ineos Grenadiers but clocked 14 minutes 31 seconds to win Stage 7. He finished 46 seconds ahead of Langellotti, who dropped to fifth overall.

Italy's Antonio Tiberi placed fourth in the stage with a time of 14:47 to secure second overall, 29 seconds behind McNulty. Fellow Italian Matteo Sobrero completed the podium in third place.

"Coming into this race, I was looking forward to the individual time trial. My goal was to beat Langellotti and stay ahead of Tiberi, but to crown it all with a stage win is fantastic," McNulty told the race's official website.

"I didn't have the perfect start to the season. I had some problems and this was my first win of the year. It was a good experience to get a victory for Filippo Baroncini, who crashed out earlier in the week. We wish the best for him in his recovery," he added.

UAE Team Emirates-XRG also topped the team classification, while Belgium's Timo Kielich won the best climber title and Poland's Patryk Stosz was named the most active rider.
