BANGKOK, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's stock investor confidence improved in July, supported by fund inflow, local economic recovery, and adjustments in global commodity prices, a survey showed on Wednesday.

The investor confidence index, which predicts market conditions over the next three months, stood at 81.06 last month, picking up from 58.45 in June to the "neutral" zone, according to the Federation of Thai Capital Market Organizations (FETCO).

Investor morale increased across most categories, with proprietary investors up 172.2 percent, institutional investors up 117.6 percent, and retail investors up 71.6 percent, while foreign investors remained unchanged, the FETCO said in a statement.

In early July, the Thai capital market was negatively impacted by political uncertainty stemming from the Constitutional Court's suspension of Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra over her alleged mishandling of the border issue, said FETCO Chairman Kobsak Pootrakool.

He added that investors will focus on the central bank's policy rate direction and the second-quarter earnings results of listed companies.
