KUALA LUMPUR, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia's services producer price index (SPPI) registered a year-on-year increase of 1 percent in the second quarter of 2025, up from a 0.6 percent rise in the previous quarter, official data showed Wednesday.
The Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) said in a statement that the arts, entertainment and recreation index increased 4.5 percent, while the accommodation, food and beverage service activities index rose 3.6 percent.
Other indices that recorded increases were education (1.3 percent), health (0.6 percent) and professional (0.5 percent).
On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the SPPI increased 0.3 percent, the same rate in the previous quarter. ■
