MANILA, July 30 (Xinhua) -- The Philippines' total external trade in goods increased by 16.3 percent in June 2025 to 18 billion U.S. dollars from 15.47 billion dollars in the same period of the previous year, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said on Wednesday.

Of the total external trade in June 2025, the agency said 61 percent were imported goods, while the remaining 39 percent were exported goods.

The agency said the balance of trade in goods, or the difference between export and import value, in June 2025 amounted to -3.95 billion dollars, indicating a trade deficit with an annual decrement of 8.8 percent.

China was the Philippines' largest supplier of imported goods in June 2025, while the United States contributed the highest export value, the PSA said.
