VLADIVOSTOK, July 30 (Xinhua) -- The identity of a Chinese citizen who perished in the recent passenger plane crash in Russia's Amur Oblast has been confirmed, the Chinese Consulate General in Khabarovsk said Wednesday.
"The Consulate General will maintain close communication with the victim's family and relevant Russian authorities to ensure proper handling of follow-up matters," it said in a statement.
The accident occurred on Thursday, when an An-24 aircraft operated by Angara Airlines crashed near Russia's Far Eastern city of Tynda.
All those aboard the Russian passenger plane have been confirmed dead. ■
