SINGAPORE, July 29 (Xinhua) -- Three people were taken to hospital for smoke inhalation and burn injuries following a fire in a residential building in central Singapore on Tuesday, the Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) said.
The SCDF was alerted to the incident in the Toa Payoh area around noon. Upon arrival, firefighters found a unit on the 10th floor on fire.
The fire was brought under control using two water jets, according to the SCDF's latest update. ■
