JAKARTA, July 24 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's economy is projected to accelerate above 5 percent in the second half of this year, with tax revenue targeted to rise in 2026, the Ministry of Finance said on Thursday.
Rising exports, particularly of manufactured products, will be among the key drivers of economic growth in the second half of the year, said Febrio Nathan Kacaribu, head of the Fiscal Policy Agency at the ministry.
"We see that the economic expansion will rebound above 5 percent in the second half," he said, adding that the government will accelerate spending, focusing particularly on priority programs.
On tax revenue, Febrio said the government and lawmakers have agreed to target a tax ratio of 10.08 to 10.54 percent of GDP for next year, an increase from this year's target of 10.03 percent. ■
