TOKYO, July 22 (Xinhua) -- A fire broke out at a residential home in Himi city of Japan's Toyama Prefecture early Tuesday, leaving two people dead and another two unaccounted for.
According to local authorities, the fire started shortly before 3 a.m. in a two-story wooden house located in the coastal Ozakai district of northern Himi. A resident reported seeing flames coming from the first floor and alerted emergency services.
Two people were found dead, and authorities have been unable to contact the other two believed to be living in the house.
The fire occurred in a small seaside community in the northern part of Himi city. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. ■
