SEOUL, July 22 (Xinhua) -- Prices for goods and services among South Korean suppliers rebounded in three months due to higher prices for farm goods and oil products, central bank data showed Tuesday.
The producer price index (PPI) added 0.1 percent in June from a month earlier after sliding 0.2 percent in April and 0.4 percent in May, according to the Bank of Korea.
Prices for agricultural, livestock and fishery products among suppliers gained 0.6 percent last month, turning around from a decrease of 4.4 percent in the previous month on higher prices for agricultural products.
Producer prices for industrial products, including oil products, were unchanged in June on a monthly basis.
Prices for coal and oil products advanced 1.2 percent in June after dropping 4.2 percent in the previous month, while those for chemicals, computers, and electronic and optical devices slipped in single digits.
Prices for electricity, natural gas and tap water slumped 0.1 percent in June from a month earlier.
Service prices went up 0.3 percent due to higher expenses for finance and insurance and the real estate services. ■
