MANILA, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Inflation remained the top urgent national concern in the Philippines, according to a survey by an independent polling firm on Thursday.
In a survey of 1,200 adults conducted in June, Pulse Asia Research Inc. said public concern was "most pronounced" on the issue of inflation, with 62 percent expressing concerns about controlling inflation.
The survey said the second urgent national concern was increasing workers' pay, at 51 percent. Other concerns included reducing poverty, creating more jobs, and fighting graft and corruption. ■
