HANOI, July 14 (Xinhua) -- A mountain landslide left two people dead in northern Vietnam's Lao Cai province on Sunday night, local daily newspaper Nhan Dan reported.
According to the report, an estimated 2,000 cubic meters of rock and soil suddenly collapsed, completely collapsing and burying two houses in the area.
No rainfall was recorded at the time of the incident, the state-owned media reported.
Local authorities are working to support the affected families, the report added. ■
