TEHRAN, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Four people were injured on Thursday in a gas explosion at a residential building in the Iranian capital Tehran, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported.
The blast occurred at a tower west of Tehran due to gas leak, Tasnim quoted Jalal Maleki, the spokesman of the Tehran Fire Department, as saying.
According to Tasnim, all the injured were transferred to the hospital.
The explosion was caused due to the "carelessness" of the owner of one of the units at the building and the accumulation of gas, the Mizan news agency of the Iranian judiciary reported. ■
