MOSCOW, July 8 (Xinhua) -- Vodka production in Russia decreased by 10.9 percent year on year in the first half of 2025 to 31.38 million decaliters, according to data released Tuesday by the Federal Service for Alcohol and Tobacco Market Regulation.
Only grape and sparkling wines showed production growth in the six months. In particular, the production of grape wines increased by 12.4 percent to 17.66 million decaliters, and champagne by 18.5 percent to 7.2 million decaliters. The output of all other categories of alcoholic beverages decreased.
In general, the production of alcoholic beverages in Russia in the first six months of 2025 decreased by 16.1 percent to 73.9 million decaliters. ■
