AMMAN, July 8 (Xinhua) -- Two children from Gaza returned home on Tuesday after completing medical treatment in Jordan, the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said in a statement.
The children, evacuated to Jordan earlier this year, crossed back into Gaza via the King Hussein Bridge in the company of five family members, JAF said.
This marked the second group of children repatriated under the "Jordanian Medical Corridor" initiative, which is coordinated by JAF in cooperation with the World Health Organization and the Jordanian Health Ministry and aims to provide treatment for Gazans, JAF said.
The first group, including 17 children, were repatriated on May 13.
Dozens of Gazan children continue to receive medical care in Jordan following the start of the evacuation efforts in early March, JAF noted. ■
