HANOI, July 8 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's Ministry of Construction aims to complete nearly 900 km of expressways in 2025, Vietnam News Agency reported Tuesday.
The ministry will also oversee investment preparations for the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway project and the North-South high-speed railway project to ensure construction begins on schedule.
Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh said site clearance and resettlement work for upcoming railway projects must begin promptly and be accelerated to meet the timeline.
He noted that the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway project is scheduled to break ground on Dec. 19 this year. ■
