TASHKENT, July 8 (Xinhua) -- Uzbekistan's total external debts reached 68.4 billion U.S. dollars in the first quarter of this year, reported local media on Monday, citing data from the country's central bank.
The external debts increased by 4.3 billion dollars during the period, of which the public debt rose to 35.8 billion dollars and the corporate debt to 32.6 billion dollars, said the report.
As of the end of last year, Uzbekistan's foreign debts amounted to 64.1 billion dollars or 55.7 percent of GDP. ■
