JAKARTA, July 7 (Xinhua) -- A branch office of the Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) in Bali issued a warning on Monday about potentially dangerous waves reaching up to six meters high that are expected to impact sailing activities in the waters off Bali Island from Tuesday to Friday.

The Regional Center for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics in Bali, a technical implementation unit of the BMKG, said the massive waves could occur across all waters surrounding Bali Island. The largest waves, up to six meters in height, are anticipated in the southern coastal waters, according to local media reports.

The regional center also urged the public to remain vigilant due to the potential for increased wind speeds in the area, which could generate large waves and pose serious risks to maritime activities.
