DHAKA, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh remittances hit an all-time high of over 30 billion U.S. dollars in the fiscal year 2024-25, according to the Bangladesh Bank.
The remittances surged around 27 percent to 30.33 billion dollars in the fiscal 2024-25 from July 2024 to June 2025.
Bangladeshi expatriates sent home 2.82 billion dollars in June alone.
Remittances mainly came from Middle East countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. ■
