VIENTIANE, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Continuous heavy rainfall triggered flash floods across parts of Vientiane province on Wednesday morning, damaging farmland and blocking traffic on major roads.
According to Lao News Agency, floodwaters from overflowing streams inundated key roads in the province, halting traffic for several hours. Homes and rice fields in low-lying areas were also affected.
The Lao weather bureau has issued warnings for potential flash floods and landslides from July 1 to 3, urging local communities and authorities to remain alert and take precautionary measures. ■
